With around 20 Years of involvement with the Oil and Gas sector primarily, Mr. Wood has worked in multiple disciplines both in India and internationally.
Currently he is the Founder of Origin Energy Technologies, India which is in the process of setting up The Genesis Energy Centre , an Integrated Energy Knowledge Hub with focus on the fossil fuel, renewable and power sector and primarily looking to equip the Asian – African region energy industry.
He is presently on the Board of the Global Challenges Forum Foundation (GCFF) in Geneva, Switzerland, an organization of think tanks, research centres and academic institutions with the goal of contributing to the much-needed resolution of existing and future global challenges which includes energy security as one of the major global challenges.
He was an active member in Operating Committees, Management Committees, Audit committees, Technical Committees, Board Of Directors of the Joint Operating Oil companies and was part of India and Myanmar Oil & Gas Operators Industry forums. In his years of involvement Edward has been involved in energy related activities in India, Myanmar, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Georgia, Russia, Tanzania, Middle East etc. and has travelled to over 20 countries across the globe with networks across 40 countries.
His Expertise lies in starting up various Oil & Gas business operations , design & execution of various types of exploration & development plans, overseeing Operating / Joint Operating Oil, Gas and Coal Bed Methane Operations etc. His past experience includes working at levels such as Petroleum Engineer to Country Manager with companies like Halliburton Services , USA, GeoEnpro Petroleum Ltd , India ; GeoPetrol International Inc., France , Dodsal Resources, UAE.
